I come from a family of nurses so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with the industry early in my career. I moved to St. Louis, Missouri from Asheboro, North Carolina in 2013 and earned my bachelor’s in nursing from Maryville University. I am currently finishing my doctorate in nursing practice from Maryville University as well.
I got into the aesthetic industry by learning and applying makeup on clients for photoshoots, fashion shows, and editorial work. The blend between makeup and aesthetics is quite seamless. Today, I am doing what I did with makeup, but with syringes of filler and units of neuromodulators. Education has always been something that has pushed me to become a better person and, in this industry, a better provider. From a young child, my mother and my Nana always told me that no one can take away your education. Since then, I have always sought out ways to continuously learn, for myself, and for my team; to bring the best possible treatments to our patients. With this being said, as an owner and provider at Ethos MedSpa, I have a duty to my patients and my team to ensure that the experience that our patients have exceeds their expectations. This experience begins with the culture that is created at Ethos. The aesthetic industry has often been looked at as superficial and vain, but in creating the Ethos narrative, we focus on enhancing the natural beauty of our patients and providing a sense of confidence that they did not have prior to visiting with us.
